Through educational programs based on research and developed with input from local stakeholders, we help the people of Roanoke County / Roanoke & Salem improve their lives. We provide education through programs in Agriculture and Natural Resources, Family and Consumer Sciences, 4-H Youth Development, and Community Viability.

Upcoming Community Events

Join our Master Gardeners for their annual "Make Your Own Rain Barrel Workshop" on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 10:00am. This hands on workshop will take you through the importance of rain barrels, go through the steps of making one, and then each participant will build and take home their own barrel to install! Spots are limited and pre-registration is required. Cost of the program is $60. Visit the "Forms" section of our website to download a registration form.
