Through educational programs based on research and developed with input from local stakeholders, we help the people of Roanoke County / Roanoke & Salem improve their lives. We provide education through programs in Agriculture and Natural Resources, Family and Consumer Sciences, 4-H Youth Development, and Community Viability.

Roanoke Master Gardener Training

VCE-Roanoke is now accepting applications for Roanoke Master Gardener Training. Training will take place on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9am-noon beginning on Sept. 3 and going thorugh Oct. 31. Program fee is $125. Application materials can be found here. Contact with any questions. 

Master Food Volunteer Training

VCE-Roanoke is now accepting applications for Master Food Volunteer Training. Training will take place on Monday and Friday mornings from 9am-noon beginning Aug. 12 and going through Aug. 30. Program fee is $75. Application materials available upon request. Contact with any questions.
